Strangr exists to connect people — strangers, friends, language learners, curious minds. These rules keep the platform fun, respectful, and safe for everyone. By using Strangr you agree to them.

The short version: be kind, be safe, be real

1. No nudity or sexual content on camera or in text. This is an instant, permanent ban.
2. No harassment, hate speech, threats, or bullying. Disagreeing is fine; attacking people is not.
3. No spam. No advertising, scams, or links to sketchy sites in chat.
4. No grooming or targeting minors — reported to authorities.
5. No illegal activity. Full stop.
6. Be honest. Don't impersonate, catfish, or misrepresent yourself.

Your safety tools (use them early and often)

• Next / Skip: end any chat instantly. No explanation needed.
• Block: stop a specific user from ever matching you again.
• Report: flag users who break these rules. Every report is reviewed.

You are anonymous. Never share your full name, address, phone number, bank details, workplace, or other identifying information with strangers.

Moderation & enforcement

We use automated moderation alongside the reporting system to keep the platform clean. Violations result in warnings, temporary blocks, or permanent bans depending on severity. Serious violations (minors, sexual content, illegal acts) are permanent and may be escalated.

If something feels wrong

Trust your gut. If a chat makes you uncomfortable, end it — you owe nobody a conversation. Then use Report. You can also contact us via the site's contact link.
